Two houses, one originally a sheep barn, one a contemporary home, are united by a sculpted circle of lawn. This open space provides a sunny recreation area on an otherwise wooded site. The stone path which outlines the lawn provides the circulation to the various parts of the garden; the bocce court, the pyramid, the zen garden, the maze. Grasses, native plants, and ornamentals which can withstand the coastal conditions are planted in billowy mounds. They create dramatic seasonal vignettes throughout the site.
